gained much closer control of pH, with consequent tighter
control over turbidity and other operating parameters,
through replacement of their previous paste-type lime
slaking system with a more advanced technology that features precise
regulation of the slaking reaction and slurry dilution. They also
note dramatically reduced maintenance and operational needs for
their lime slaking operation, as well as in other areas of the plant’s
treatment process.
